Traveling to EDC from the Las Vegas strip
Staying in vegas is half the fun, but getting to the event is a voyage to say the least. The motor speedway is north of the Las Vegas strip and is a $65 taxi ride. There are several ways to get in and out of the event.
- Shuttle bus
- Drive your own car
- Taxi
- Limo
- Helicopter
Some people use the shuttles, but in my experience the shuttles are a rip off. You pay about the same as you would if you split the cab ride, but you have to wait for like an hour for the shuttle to drop off and pickup. The best way to do it?? Hire a limo or a cabbie that will work as a limo.
Limos go straight to the front of the pickup line and are reserved for you cause you already paid the guy. Cut all the chumps and zoom you’re out! PEACE!!!

How much is a helicopter ride to event?
Not sure on that one. You’d have to ask Tiesto or SHM. I think most of the big name artist take a helicopter into the event from the casino rooftops. Seriously the way to go…
The helicopter charter costs $3000 for six people, each way. So that is $500 per person.

i will be driving to edc, what is the parking going to be like?
It should be free parking like last year. But if they suddenly started charging, I wouldn’t be surprised. Last year parking and admittance was superfast. The Speedway is gigantic!

I wouldnt drive there to begin with. YOU’ll be stuck in traffic going there and leaving. IF u dont leave 1hour before edc ends, you will be stuck in traffic for hours. It’ll be like a GRIDLOCK you see on TV in like disaster events. AND THEY DO HAVE like CHECKpoints at certain areas. last Year i took the LIMo. VERY simple. If u have a party of 10+ it shouldn’t be more than $26 each person and another $26 to get back. limos n buses has quite a good perk. They get to go on the emergency lane when theyre near the entrance of the speedway and they take another route to get inside the area. separated from all Cars and taxis.
How do we get ahold of a limo? Do we need to make prior arrangements for a limo or can we just get a limo when we get there?
I would also love any info on hiring a limo for me and my girlfriends. Does anyone know of any good limos company’s out there or the details of pricing and such?

try the motel 6 by the airport or there are motor lodges near the race track. none of the large hotels want you or your non-tipping ass staying there
